Wildlife Adventures
A good photograph of a wild animal is rarely luck. It is hours sitting still in a vehicle, a guide who knows where the leopard was lying yesterday, and then the patience to wait until the animal does something worth the frame. This page shows what that produces. What it does not show are the mornings when nothing happened.
Most of them come from the Northern Circuit in Tanzania: the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara. The rest from Kruger National Park and Addo Elephant Park in South Africa. No archive material and no stock. I stood there myself, and every print states where and when it was made.
For the FGASA Nature Enthusiast Workbook I went into behaviour, ecology and conservation. That is not a certificate for the wall, it changes what you see. You read in a lioness's posture that she is about to move, you know which bird you are hearing before you spot it, and you know when to keep your distance. That is the difference between a photograph of an animal and a photograph of what that animal was doing.
The more I learned, the clearer it became how vulnerable these animals and their habitat are. So a share of the proceeds from every print sold goes to Stichting Wildlife. An image on your wall is then also a small contribution to the place it came from.
How I ended up here, from the ELE Rally to the Serengeti, is on about me.
Series put together from the African bush. Each collection tells its own story and has a style of its own.

A print on your wall is more than a memory of Africa. Part of the proceeds goes to Stichting Wildlife, for the protection of the animals and habitats you see on this page.
In Tanzania and South Africa. Most of them come from Tanzania's Northern Circuit: the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire and Lake Manyara. The rest are from Kruger National Park and Addo Elephant Park in South Africa.
Every print says where and when it was made. No archive material and no stock: I was standing there myself.
Four sizes (S, M, L and XL) across three materials: Fine Art on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta, dibond, or acrylic. Twelve combinations per photograph.
What each letter is in centimetres, how the materials feel and what the white border is for is all on sizes and materials.
Shipping is included in the price for the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Note that this is not the Benelux: Luxembourg is out, Germany is in.
Ordering from anywhere else, request the shipping cost and mention the print, the size and the material. It is perfectly possible, it is just not a button on the page.
No. Everything in the shop is an open edition: the same image stays available, and there is no number and no certificate. I would rather sell you a print you like than scarcity I invented myself.
Just ask. What is online is a selection, while the archive holds thousands of wildlife photographs from several trips. If you are after a particular species, a specific park, or a moment you saw go by on social media, send me a message and I will see what is there.
Yes. Part of the proceeds of every wildlife print sold goes to Stichting Wildlife. It is one of the reasons I do this work: the more I learned about behaviour and ecology during the FGASA Nature Enthusiast, the clearer it became how vulnerable these animals and their habitat are.
Buying a print gets you the image on your wall, not the rights to the file. If you want to use a photograph for a publication, a website or a campaign, we arrange a licence. Get in touch with what you have in mind and I will come back with a proposal.
RobinV-Rally became RobinV-Web, and now it simply becomes my own name. Why an agency name from 2008 no longer fits, and what changes now that wildlife takes the lead.

Read moreRally is about anticipating a fraction of a second. Wildlife is about patience. The techniques overlap more than you would think: panning on running antelope, golden hour on cars, and which lens goes where.
