Shipping and returns

Where I ship

Prints go to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Shipping is in the price: the amount you see at checkout is what you pay, and nothing is added on top. No VAT is charged either, because I sell as a private individual.

Somewhere else? Send me a message through contact with the photograph, the size and the material you want. I will work out what shipping to your country costs and come back to you with a price. There is no automatic buy button for those countries, precisely because I do not want you paying an amount whose shipping cost I have not checked yet.

How long it takes

Every print is made after you order it, in the size and material you choose. Nothing sits on a shelf waiting. Count on 7 to 14 working days between your order and delivery: printing and mounting is most of that, the journey itself is a few days.

Digital downloads work differently. They are ready the moment the payment goes through, on your order page and in the confirmation email. That page stays reachable for 30 days and each photograph can be downloaded five times. Keep the email, because there are no accounts: the link in it is your access to the order.

If something is wrong

It arrived damaged. Until the print reaches you, the risk is mine. If it arrives damaged, send a photograph of the damage to [email protected] within fourteen days. I will make a new one and send it, at no cost. Keep the packaging until that is settled.

Something other than what you ordered, or a defect you only notice later: let me know and I will replace the print or refund it. Also after those fourteen days. What the law gives you in guarantees is not something I take away with a deadline in my terms.

Changed your mind. Here I have to be straight with you: prints are made per order and a digital photograph cannot be taken back once it has been downloaded, so there is no fourteen-day right of withdrawal the way there is for something picked off a warehouse shelf. That is written out in article 7 of the terms.

It does not mean you are stuck with a print you are unhappy about. If you are unsure about size or material, ask before you order. I would rather spend a quarter of an hour thinking it through with you than have an XL on a wall it does not fit. Sizes and materials sets out exactly what each letter is in centimetres and what each material does to a photograph.
