From RobinV-Rally and RobinV-Web to Robin Verheggen

RobinV-Rally became RobinV-Web, and now it simply becomes my own name. Why an agency name from 2008 no longer fits, and what changes now that wildlife takes the lead.

In 2008, I started RobinV-Rally. A simple website to share my rally photos. What started as a hobby project grew over the years: photography on an international level, copywriting for motorsport publications and web development as my daily work. To be future-proof, I then registered www.robinv-web.nl.

Years later, I chose to actively use RobinV-Web as well. Because it was more than rallying by now. Writing for magazines, other photography, developing websites. That could all fall under one umbrella, also for if I ever wanted to start for myself. But now it’s time for a new step.

Why a rebrand?

“RobinV-Web” sounds like what an agency sounded like at the beginning of this century, but no longer fits this zeitgeist where personal branding is important. And while web development remains just my day job, it’s not the only thing I do. The name doesn’t tell the whole story. My photography has evolved. From rally photos in the Netherlands to international motorsport coverage. From hobby to serious work. And in recent years more and more towards wildlife photography.

I wanted a name that covers all aspects of my work. That gives room to grow. That doesn’t suggest that I only do one thing.

Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. My own name. A personal brand gives me the freedom to be who I am: developer, photographer, copywriter. It grows with where my focus is, without pigeonholing me.

Wildlife photography first

This rebrand also marks a shift in focus. Wildlife photography takes center stage. Ever since my first safari in South Africa in 2023 (Garden Route and Addo Elephant Park), I knew this was a direction I seriously wanted to explore. Those first mornings in the bush, waiting for the right light, the excitement of a wildlife encounter. It felt different from motorsport photography, but at least as captivating.

Since then I have taken several safaris, expanded my knowledge with the FGASA Nature Enthusiast course and am now launching a collection of prints. Carefully selected photographs that tell stories about African nature. Rally has been in my DNA since childhood. In 2008, I picked up the camera. Those rallies, that speed, that dust and that emotion definitely remain part of my work. But wildlife is where I put extra energy in the coming period.

New name, familiar methods

So welcome to RobinVerheggen.nl or .com, as there is also an English version of my website. Here you will find wildlife photography from Africa and motorsport images from international rallies. The rally photos I made from 2008 onwards can be found on this website and can be ordered and downloaded directly. Another reason I wanted to renew my website: more images to show and share.

Within the redesigned website, I have more space to promote my wildlife prints and later other products. But so also the showcasing of motorsport photos is better, with a direct integration with a webshop. In short, a nice evolution in 2026!

I also help with copywriting for motorsports and other projects. Same person, same process. Just a name more appropriate for 2026.
