The story
Still early in the day, and the pride was already busy. The cubs were tearing across the bare ground, rolling over each other and every so often running straight into an adult who clearly could not be bothered. Exactly the sort of chaos the word crèche exists for: in a lion pride the cubs are raised collectively and the mothers take turns.
How many there were I could not tell you. Not everyone fitted in the frame, and not one of them stood still for a second. This is what I got out of it: a single cub stopping in the middle of the mess to look straight down the lens.
We did not stay long. The males were coming in, the same two brothers from Straight At You. This is the pride they were walking to.
